The repeaters are actually called the FlexNet Network Portal (FNP).The FlexNet Network Portal (FNP) includes a transceiver that incorporates an mPass mode receiver, a full-mode FlexNet transmitter with an auto-ranging AC/DC converter, and a battery backup into a rugged enclosure. It is intended to be pole-mounted within a FlexNet system. The FNP will be used in strategic locations where Tower Gateway Base Station (TGB) coverage is not adequate to meet the coverage desired.
